Elena Trujillo

My name is Elena Trujillo, and I am originally from Annapolis, Maryland. I will be graduating from Salisbury University with a Bachelor’s in Fine Arts with a concentration in graphic design. I never thought I try to make a career out my art until I got into high school and it was still the only thing I was really excellent in. Growing up I was always more of a visual thinker with every idea I had, whether it was art related on not. I was not able to fully read until I was in second grade, so art was one subject that came to me naturally. Even though I did not like it very much in the beginning. 

My art is composed of a number of different items, I enjoy bringing people of object to paper that have been part of my imagination for so long. This provides a face to the character I have been creating or reading about, and I make them come to life. I would say I work in the world of fantasies and places that the mind can escape to when the world around has become too much to handle. With the use of digital programs such as Procreate, Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop I can bring these creations to life on a screen. On paper I find watercolor, pencil, colored pencil and sometimes paint to be the best mediums to create another world.
