Rachel Matthews

Rachel Matthews was born in Hollywood, Maryland and studied graphic design at the College of Southern Maryland in Leonardtown, where she received her Associates of Arts and certification of graphic design in 2019. She then continued her education at Salisbury University in Maryland, where she is pursuing a BFA major with a track in graphic design. Rachel’s practices in graphic design include branding, illustration, logo creation, typography pieces, and portraiture. Her personal style is modern and simplistic, but she has a  love for pop art illustrations. Rachel has experience with many mediums such as charcoal, oil paints, sculpting clay, blown glass, and photography. She has always had a passion for digital photography, and it is a large portion of what she incorporates into her graphic projects today. Line drawings made from digital portraits that she captures, are one of her favorite design projects to create.
